Educational Objectives
The Department is committed to cultivating students with the international, professional, practical, and holistic competencies required by industry. Accordingly, six major educational objectives have been established to fulfill the educational functions and distinctive characteristics of the Department and to develop electronic engineering professionals who meet the needs of contemporary technological development and society. These objectives encompass professional knowledge, practical skills, teamwork, lifelong learning, engineering ethics, and diversified education.
[ Educational Objectives and Development Core ]
In alignment with the University's development goals, the Department has established its educational and research development objective as: “30% Forward-Looking Research and 70% Practical Industry-Oriented Technology Development.”
Facing an increasingly competitive environment, Taiwan's electronics industry continues to devote substantial resources to overcoming immediate technological challenges, while the development of forward-looking technologies remains a significant challenge. Therefore, the Department's educational and research development focuses on closely integrating its efforts with the needs and development trends of national industries. Approximately 70% of its resources and personnel are devoted to short-term practical and application-oriented technology development, while 30% are allocated to medium- and long-term forward-looking technology research and development.
Through this approach, the Department aims to cultivate professionals with solid expertise in electronic engineering and contribute to the technological development of Taiwan's electronics industry across the short, medium, and long term.
